PT-141 research peptide

PT-141 (also known as Bremelanotide) is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide analogue of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It has been the subject of laboratory and preclinical research examining melanocortin receptor signaling, particularly within central nervous system pathways.

Researchers study PT-141 for its activity as a melanocortin receptor agonist with affinity for MC3R and MC4R, and to a lesser extent MC1R.
